Johnson's fantastic personality saved his life. Johnson was in a rural shelter that is typically overrun with hounds and beagles unwanted and abandoned. Being a mature and larger size hound normally would have weighed heavily against his odd of getting out of the shelter alive. But Johnson quickly won the hearts of the shelter staff who repeatedly begged Homeward Trails to help this charming, good natured and friendly gent. Happily, we were able help.
