As a tribute to the resilience of the people of New Orleans, ten years after Katrina,On August 29th MSANIART Gallery will host a "Little Artist Series" from 10am-5pm for children to paint and express themselves about the event that has had such an impact on the lives of all in Louisiana.

M. Sani will also have an open mic inviting artists using the "spoken word" to express themselves for people of all ages to share their Katrina experiences through art, music or spoken word from 6 pm to 10 pm. This event is donation based. There will be Katrina paintings on exhibit during the event.

We would like to use this day to take the negativity of the disaster and turn it into a positive artistic experience to celebrate the revival and growth of New Orleans these past 10 years.
