We're Josh & The Jet Noise from North Richland Hills, Texas. The band was founded by the bass player and rhythm guitarist/lead singer of a band called The Confounded. The Confounded were nominated for ep of the year and rock song of the year by the Fort Worth Weekly last year. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control (people moving, settling down, etc.), The Confounded was laid to rest. So if you want to hear the bass or rhythm guitar and lead vocals, you can look up The Confounded on any digital platform.
The Jet Noise will be a brand new band inspired by 80's new wave (The Fixx, The Clash, Talking Heads, The Cure, Early U2), Britpop (Oasis), and a dash of funk. We're looking for 2nd guitar player who has the ability to add texture and ambiance to sound, play lead, and hold down a rhythm if necessary. Everybody in this band has played their instrument for over 20 years, so please be experienced. We practice once a week at the bass player's house in North Richland Hills. We will play gigs in Fort Worth, Dallas, and Denton. We might even a play a show or two in Austin. We'll also be played on the radio and we will record.
We're all married or have families and we all have day jobs. We're in our mid to upper 30s, and while we'd love to see something like this take off, we all put our families first. We're really just happy to be part of the local scene. We've made some really great friends and connections with bands and venues and we're really excited to get back out there.
