Full-time Nanny and Household Manager -- Live-in

We are a professional couple in Billings, MT seeking a Live-In Nanny/Household Manager to join our family and help balance our personal and work life. We work hard, play hard and have high expectations on all that we do. We are avid outdoor recreationalists (hiking, biking, skiing, camping, etc.), we enjoy healthy lifestyle choices and above all, we love our 18 month daughter. We desire someone to join our family and help us care for our daughter and also help manage our household. This position requires travel, mainly regionally one or two times a month averaging three to five days.

Start date: August 1, 2015

Nanny Duties and Job Expectations
The main role of a nanny is to provide a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment in which children thrive and develop.

Daily responsibilities:
• Getting child(ren) dressed for the day
• Preparing feedings, meals and snacks
• Nap, bath, and bed time routine as needed
• Organizing outings, play dates and assisting with appointments
• Keeping Daily Log and Journal
• Following a daily schedule

Child activities include:
• Educational - Reading books, singing songs and playing with appropriate aged toys for learning
• Social/Outside home - Walks, zoo, library, music class, play dates, swimming, shopping, errands, etc.
• Creative activities -- Crafts, coloring, dancing, musical instruments, etc.

Household Manager Duties and Job Expectations
The role of the household manager is to assist the family by identifying what needs to be done in the home and doing it.

• Putting clean/dirty dishes away
• Clean kitchen counters and floors
• Meal planning for children and some prep for family meals
• Keep grocery list and do grocery shopping
• Errands for family as needed
• All children's laundry and some family laundry
• Keep main living areas and children's rooms tidy and toys organized
• Organize closets and replenish supplies
• House-sitting and caring for pets as needed

Requirements/Competencies
• Experience caring for children, from infant through age five
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to travel regionally with family (by automobile or plane) up to two times a month for lengths of 3 to 5 days at time
• Comfortable with cats and dogs
• Flexibility with schedules which might include some evenings and weekends
• Good judgment skills
• Planning and organizing skills
• High energy level
• Attention to detail
