I am a local producer seeking a female Neo Soul/RnB vocalist to sing, and write to some of the Soul Hop beats that I have created, specifically my new beat release, "Soul Hop Essentials, Vol. 1," which can be heard here: https://thajazzadelic.bandcamp.com/album/soul-hop-essentials-vol-1
The vocalist that I am looking for needs to have a certain look, style, feel, and sound. Looks-wise we are talking about an Afro (think Esperanza Spalding), or some other natural hair style (twists, locs, etc.), but an Afro is the preferred choice. Style-wise, the more organic, earthly, and cultural the better. Sound-wise, the first person that first comes to mind is Erykah Badu in her heyday followed by the younger version of Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Indie Arie, and so on.
This is a great opportunity for an up and coming songstress to get out there, and get heard because the final product will be released as an album worldwide through Soulful Child Records (www.soulfulchildrecords.com).
Must be local (Metro Detroit), and have transportation back, and forth to the studio, which is located in Southfield, Michigan.
