I write this with a heavy heart, but I am trying to find a home for the two most loving and wonderful (male black) cats I have ever had. Mush is 12 years old and Cookie is 11. My mom recently moved cross country and could not take the cats with her, so they have been with me at college for the past two months.
As a soon to be graduate, I am hoping to travel and am unsure of my plans after graduation, and in consequence need to find a new home for my two cats. They will need a new home by June 6th at the latest. (I know this is short notice but I graduate then and need to leave Vermont). They both are used to small dogs, as we had two, but have never been exposed to other cats or larger dogs. I think they'd prefer to be by themselves, but other animals are fine too!

The two things I would ask are that they stay together, and that they remain indoor and outdoor cats.

I cannot begin to express what gentle, caring cats they are. Cookie is a love bug and loves attention. He would be great with kids, and basically just loves to be the center of attention. Both cats are indoor/outdoor but Cookie generally stays inside most the time, or closer to the house. However, he loves to go on walks with you and follow behind.

Mush is a little more stand offish, and takes a bit more time adjusting to strangers. Though he is a bit more reserved at first, with enough love and attention he is probably the biggest love and cuddler ever. He's more independent than Cookie and loves to be outside a lot, comes in to eat, and goes right outside again. I like to think that both cats personalities even the other out, Cookie being the "attention seeker," and Mush being the "independent" cat.

They will love you unconditionally, and I would love to find them a home rather than have to put them in a.
