Looking For Bench Space in a Woodshop (rental or exchange) (Brooklyn)
Hi there,
I work with hardwoods and leather; right now my projects are in the realm of tuning my woodworking skills, testing new ones, and creating new prototypes - although, I don't have the bench space to do so. I currently don't have any stock, except a small beam or two, and a hide of leather.
I'm looking for:
Rental?
- Bench space / own workbench for hand tool use and safe-keeping
- Access to woodworking machinery
- Possibly room for a little storage
For only 1 - 2 days a week
Open to exchange?
I would also love the opportunity to exchange a helping hand 1-2 days a week, for part-time bench space in your woodshop. I have experience as an apprentice (fine furniture, no cabinetry), and would love to help any way that I can in your shop. Caveats: I do not know how to turn, and I don't use CAD. Ideally, I would also be able to have a workbench and access to the shop for my own projects - but I would be very conscious to do so at times that work for.
