Looking for Civil War Enthusiasts for Battle Reenactment in film (Fredericksburg)
I'm looking for roughly 50-70 extras for a short film I'm shooting about the Battle of Fredericksburg. In particular, I will be focused on shooting the crossing of the Rappahannock, so a willingness to get wet and an ability to swim are a must.
I will be holding casting calls at my home in Orange for Ambrose Burnside and Robert E. Lee on Saturday, January the 31st. If you wish to audition for either of these roles, please send me a text message with your name, a summary of your past acting experience, and a headshot.
If you wish to be an extra, simply send me a text message expressing your interest in the subject. Those with past Civil War Reenactment experience and a knowledge of the battle will be given a preference. Don't let this deter you, though - I am looking for a broad range of participants!
Compensation: $15 an hour (This is the best I can do on my small budget)
Refreshments provided.
Both union and non union members are welcome.
On a related note, I have a variety of props being used in this film, including a collection of restored pillows (great condition) from the Red Hill plantation's slave quarters in Campbell County. Send me a text message if you are interested in purchasing all or part of this.
