We're currently trying to find a female singer (preferred but not necessary), a drummer and a keyboard player either male or female for a rock/orchestral/alternative/electronic band, preferably between the ages 16-22.
We're also on the lookout for a female violinist who can rock out. There isn't a huge amount of strings in any of the previous demos record so far, but it's something new we're trying to incorporate into our sound to give it an emotional edge to it.
More recently I've been wanting to blend a kinda of theatrical element to the sound - strings, orchestral, and electronic kinda stuff. In this day and age it's hard to breakthrough as a band so doing something new & unique is key, and I think a fusion like this could be interesting.
Having said that, I haven't got too much up with that specific sound (the first few tracks are the flagships at the moment I suppose), and everything else on my Soundcloud page dates between last year and three years ago, with some of them branching off into a more dated 'pop-punk' sound, which i'm trying to move away from.
Our influences include many genres and styles of music, but commonly bands like Jimmy Eat World, Relient K, Angels & Airwaves, PVRIS, Paramore (the Farro brothers), Lindsey Stirling, Owl City, Yellowcard, Brand New, There For Tomorrow, Daft Punk, Saosin, 30 Seconds To Mars, Enter Shikari, The Dangerous Summer, VersaEmerge, etc.
Another big influence are soundtracks and scores to movies/video games, and even some classical & jazz.
We have a bunch of demos recorded, which we have up on Soundcloud:

I'm 20, from Australia, and moved here to purse music, and to form a band here, as the scene over in Australia isn't nearly as good as the US/Canada. I literally sold everything I own except a guitar and a suitcase and made my way over to the other side of the world. Prior to this, I moved out of home before I was 18 to the other side of the country to try and find my place in music there. However that still wasn't good enough, which is why I find myself here.
I've been playing music since grade three, on an array of different instruments in primary school (violin, trumpet, saxophone), and I have been playing guitar primarily for the last six years.
I've played in a fair amount of local bands over the years, have plenty of experience playing live shows from small venues to festivals, including Warped Tour 2014, and playing with Paramore at the Soundwave 2013 festival in Australia.
Music is my ultimate passion, and we really want to get a move on into the world and start playing, touring, and just really trying to get as far as possible, whilst being inspiring to anyone I can. The thought and idea of standing out on a stage in front of people who look up to you to you is beyond amazing to me.
Having said that, we are looking for people who are willing to dedicate 100% of their time for this, people who want to make music their lives and share this dream.
