My beloved gray-and-white "tuxedo tabby" cat is still missing despite my many searches, but I continue to hope that I will find him.
He is a large, 8-year-old neutered male cat, with dark striping on a gray background (he looks mainly gray from above or the sides), and with a white "bib" or "tuxedo," consisting of a white chin, chest, stomach and paws.
Last seen in the 2600 block of Jones Road in Walnut Creek, but he could be anywhere by now.
Distinctive characteristics:
-- shyness/can be skittish; wary of strangers
-- large size
-- green eyes
-- pink nose (with a white vertical blaze of fur above, on the bridge of the nose)
IF SEEN, DO NOT CHASE. Instead, please phone or email me or, even better, TEXT ME A SMARTPHONE PHOTO of him with information on when and where you saw him. He *might* come closer if you rustle a bag of dry cat food and call out "Fressshhhh kitty crunchies! Fresssshhhh crunchies!"
MAY BE TRAPPED in someone's garage, shed, or storage unit. Please search, or allow me to.
I AM OFFERING A REWARD for my cat's safe return, or for reliable information on his whereabouts.
NOTE that he has been missing for several months and may be in bad shape by now, if he has been living outdoors on his own.
ANY AND ALL LEADS APPRECIATED. Please help keep an eye out and spread the word to your neighbors -THANKS!
Possible (unconfirmed) sightings in the Carriage Place complex on Jones/Oak; on Shady Lane; and on Jones Place.
Note: I have received photos, or personally seen, some similar-looking tabby cats at Jones/Walden; on or near Cora and Cherry; and in the Hamptons on Oak/Jones, all in Walnut Creek. Those gray-and-white tabbies are somewhat smaller than my cat. At least one of those other cats has more white fur on its sides and shoulders than my cat. One or more of them has a gray nose, as opposed to my cat's pink nose. (I have also seen a more tiger-ish looking tabby cat hiding in the bushes along the Contra Costa Canal Trail near Walden Park; that cat seems to have a regular nightly routine of frequenting those bushes.) At least one person thinks she has seen my cat around a feeding station on Jones Place, but my repeated visits have turned up nothing so far.
