1. CHECK YOUR LOCAL ANIMAL IMPOUND AND CALL NON-EMERGENCY NUMBER FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT.
Here is a listing of the extended metro area impounds. Some facilities take animals from six or seven different cities so be sure to check this list. Also it's important to check the shelters of neighboring cities too as your dog could have traveled.

In the city limits of Minneapolis you can google Minneapolis animal control to see the dogs they have picked up.
2. FACEBOOK
Lost Dogs Minnesota (state wide)
Post the dog on "Lost Dogs Minnesota" Facebook page. It has 90,000 members. Here is the form you would fill out to get on there.http://www.helpinglostpets.com/petdetail/postpet.aspx?rc=o1270&s=LF You don't need to be a member of facebook.

If you are out state find the local county or city animal Humane Society and post it on their Facebook page.
4. CRAIGSLIST
Post on craigslist in the community/ lost and found section and community/pets section.
5. NEXTDOOR.COM and ONLINE GARAGE SALE SITES
Also post on nextdoor.com and post on local online garage sale sites for your area.
If you lost a dog, leave food, the pups bed, and clothing with your scent on them on the front step or somewhere on your property.
Finally make some signs and put up at the intersections near where your pup went lost for those not on the Internet!
