Lottie

Lottie was rescued from a rural shelter where she spent over 3 months waiting for someone to take her home. She's a very submissive, friendly girl who loves to run and sniff like all good hound dogs do. She gets along very well with other dogs, cats, and children. Like most hounds, she can be a bit of an escape artist, so she needs a securely fenced yard or to be leash walked (she hasn't attempted to jump/climb a fence yet, but will look for any openings to squeeze through).

Lottie is about 6 years old and weighs around 45 lbs. She loves to cuddle, she walks nicely on the leash, and she rides well in the car. She would do best in a home with another friendly, playful dog. She is very affectionate and will settle down nicely after a short play session and just cuddle on the couch. She looks like she's had puppies in the past (probably several times) and given the area she came from, she was probably an abandoned hunting dog. She loves to be indoors with her people, though, so I'm sure she hated life as a hunter! She is not a big barker and will usually only make noise if she feels she has been outdoors long enough and is ready to come in! She is very scared of thunderstorms and likes to be held and cuddled until they are over.

Lottie has been spayed, vaccinated (DAPP and rabies), heartworm tested (negative and on preventatives), and she is microchipped. She also had a dental cleaning and had TEN teeth pulled! Don't worry, though. It didn't slow down her appetite one bit!
