When I was first selected daycare for my now 3 year-old son, as a first time mom, my concern was of course, safety, learning, but also would he be LOVED and hugged and kissed knowing that he wasn't going to be with me while I was at work. Kid Hut is that place. 3 years have now passed and I have a second child who also attends Kid Hut.
Kid Hut, is a licensed day care provider with DCFS approvals. She maintains all her certifications but most importantly, she loves my children and any children in her care while teaching them as they grow older and learn new things. She is a good partner raising our children. She is very supportive of breastfeeding and also supportive of how we wanted our child to have home made baby food which I cooked and gave to her until he transitioned to normal food.
The children are located on the first floor, not the basement as many home daycares, and she has a wonderful backyard with play equipment, slides, and swings for summertime play. She is also very close to a park.
When we first interviewed potential day care providers, one of the things that struck me is how often her "graduates" come back to visit, both parents and children, and how much the children love her even as they grow older. I now see that with my 3 year-old. I thought it was very telling that even after the children and parents left, they still felt very connected. Overall, I would highly recommend Kid Hut for home day care.
