Direct activities of Maintenance personnel (Mechanics, Electricians, and helpers) in preventive maintenance and repair assignments
Type reports on completed work
Backs up Maintenance personnel to sustain scheduled work
Trained in accordance with job responsibilities and applicable specifications
On an annual basis, the Gunderson QA manual must be reviewed
Maintain and repair production and support machinery
Obtain work order from dispatcher
Obtain needed part(s)
Consult manuals and /or outside sources
Repair part/piece of equipment on site or in shop
Record completed repairs in appropriate logs
Work from job information, assesses problem with operator /production lead person
Work in a safe and professional manner
Able to scope, collect, analyze data, and plan to make best maintenance decisions that support production goals
Must be able to work OT on short notice, any shift, and be able to work weekends
Must be able to work in heights up to or in excess of 100 feet in man-lifts or cranes
Must be able to climb and work off ladders and scaffolding
Have computer experience with Windows 98, Access, and Word programs
Must have record keeping and report writing skills
Able to communicate clearly to foreman and employees, both written and verbally
Ability to use: Forklift, Shop trucks, Soldering iron, vise, hand tools, (e.g. screwdrivers, pliers, etc.), circuit and other testing instruments, drill, shovels, 2-way radios, computers, and phones
Ability to: Lift, carry, push or pull 1 to 75 pounds for 1 to 6 hours per day; bend, twist, kneel, walk, climb, and reach for 1 to 6 hours per day; sit, stand, and walk for 1 to 8 hours per day
Must work in all temperature extremes, inside or outside, in confined spaces and minimal noise, varying light conditions, fumes from forklifts and delivery trucks
Must wear: Hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, and gloves
High school diploma or GED helpful, but not required. College courses in related field is a plus
Minimum five years in industrial maintenance as a millwright or maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing facility
Must have strong background in pneumatics, plumbing, welding, fabrication, hydraulics, mechanical power transmissions systems, blue print reading, and precision measurement instruments
