This is NOT the Beat-Used-Abused-Unwanted-Improperly Cared For-Fell Off The Back Of A Truck crap that the local music stores are selling!
It was purchased new and looks like it.
I am the original and only owner.
In 2001 I purchased this new cabinet while I lived in NY from the manager, Monty, at Music Land in Lindenhurst, NY.
That makes the cabinet wood 15+ years old.
Aged wood ALWAYS sounds better than new.
It has never been played-out or left my a/c climate controlled studio until I moved to Henderson in 2003.
At that time, 4 - Mesa Boogie Black Shadow speakers were standard (Vintage 30's are standard today).
This bin was ordered with 2 - Black Shadows and 2 - Vintage 30's for the Best of Both Worlds!
The grill is PERFECT, no snags or tears or frayed strands
The Tolex o has an almost unnoticeable very small scrape along the top front edge about 3/8" long.
That's it!
It was used in practice for my use only or to play through amps that completed my repair or restoration.
That's it!
The speakers have never been broken in!
No apologies necessary.
You WILL be as proud to own this beauty as I have...
