My 86 year old mother lives in a 3 BR Ranch, and her basement is a two bedroom, one bath apartment. It has separate entrance, all utilities except cable tv and is nice-but not luxurious. I am looking to have some spend 30 hours a week with my Mom, hours and responsibilities are flexible and we can find what works for all of us.
