older cat free to good home (United States)
I have an 11 year old male gray tabby named Spike whom i inherited from my mother. She bought him as a kitten. He is neutered, had all of his preliminary vaccines but is not current on rabies.
Spike is an indoor only cat. He is about 17 pounds, so pretty big. He has not been declawed. He only eats dry food and will not eat wet food if you put it in front of him.
He likes to snuggle and sleep on the bed with you. But, sometimes he doesn't like how you pet him and will nip your hand or "smack" you with his claws. He hates belly rubs, but loves ear scratches.
He has a slight digestive problem where he eats too fast and then throws up. He has seen a vet (VCA in waukesha) and was given a clean bill of health. We have mostly solved the issue by putting a few nerf-type golf balls in his food bowl to make him slow down amd work for his food. He is extremely food motivated and loves treats and people food. He likes to drink out of the toilet like a dog.
Due to Spike and my husbands mutual disdain for each other, i am choosing to rehome him for everyone's sake.
Spike is free to a good home who:
* agrees not to declaw him
* does not have children under the age of 5
