Seeking a warm and upbeat individual to join the Early Childhood staff of a vibrant and egalitarian Jewish organization in Manhattan as a part-time Art Class Teacher. Position is for 3-4 hours of art class preparation and instruction per week for children 18 months to 4 years (segmented by age), with classes scheduled for Wednesdays beginning September 2015.

What we require:
Engaging and energetic comfort interacting with young children
Creativity, resourcefulness, and imagination
Reliability, responsibility, and ability to collaborate on curriculum development
Substantive art education, an art degree, and/or experience teaching art in an early childhood setting
Basic knowledge of Jewish holidays and Jewish calendar (knowledge of very basic Hebrew a plus but really not requisite)
Experience in early childhood education a big plus, but we will consider all great candidates

Pay for the right person is competitive (starting at $85/hr, possibly higher commensurate with experience).
