We are looking for healthy individuals, 40 to 60 years old, to participate in a new study investigating how genetic risk is related to brain aging and age related learning and memory impairments. The study is designed to help us better understand how genes influence the relationships between learning and memory and the brain changes across different ages.
If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete several questionnaires to determine your eligibility. If eligible, you will be asked to complete three computerized tasks that involved learning relationships among pictures presented to you on a computer monitor. You will also receive a non-invasive MRI brain scan that runs about 1-hour long. Lastly, you will be asked to donate a small amount of blood. The study, in total, will require 3 to 4 hours of your time and you will be compensated $50 upon the completion of the study.
Participation will take place at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, WI
