I am inspired by Issa Rae's Insecure, and her DOP Ava Berkofsky's techniques in lighting people with dark skin. This is an unpaid collaboration, though you will likely be present on my website upon signing a model release. I am also black, and I think that it would be an eye-opening experience for us to collaborate with other black people, with the goal of figuring out how to best represent ourselves. Plus, who doesn't want professional- quality photos of themselves?
