Hello, We are a family of four with two young children. Over the last four months life has become very hard financially and emotionally. We made a mistake of moving in with a family member to help them out, this family member decided to steal all of our saved money. Because of this we were forced to stay in a really shady hotel in dunn because it was all we could afford. This hotel still costs 840$ a month.We recently purchased a 4,000$ vehichle with our tax money, however it broke down one month later leaving us stranded and walking to our jobs. As a result of all of this as well as with the help of some people who don't believe in hard times our children were placed in a foster care last Thursday.We have been told that if we find stable housing and transportation within three weeks our children will be returned to us. If not done by this deadline it will be much harder to get them back. We have never been in such an unfair,tragic and unlucky situation before and have never spent even one full night away from our children. We do work we pay our 840$ a month for hotel,we pay for our food we do not get foodstamps,We pay for diaper(for both children) and we pay for our phone, we do this with little struggle and if we could get stable would be able to get more hours. However with these unavoidable expenses we can not find a way to come up with first months rent/deposit light deposit and a car payment all at once. We have no one to stay with to save a cpl checks we have only us. So I am praying that someone will see this,take time to read it and understand we are not lazy or begging people, but a family that had run out of options. I know i have researched online about section 8 ect and things like wheels for hope,only we would never be approved in time to meet this deadline given to us. We can pay our bills we just need a break before we can catch up i know this is a risk for anyone that may have a house for rent or a dealer who could do small payments while letting us drive or a church that helps get these things, but i assure you we can and will catch up. We have renter references,proof of employment, multiple personal references that would tell you this is not a normal thing for us but an honest to god series of horrible events. We can not stand being away from our children and they don't understand why they can't come home. Please if anyone has continued to read this and can offer any thing in regards to housing rental or a vehicle contact us anytime we rarely sleep. We have to stay living in harnett county Nc. We need three bedrooms but could make do with two. We do not have pets,we do not smoke in the home,we do not have a criminal background,we do not do drugs,we do not have parties. We just want a chance to keep our family together and get back on track we were on before we made that first mistake. Thank you truely from our hearts for at least hearing us out.
