Hey everyone -- I'm Vanna!
When I first got to the shelter I was a bit shy, but now they call me a rockstar! I'm the "social greeter" in doggie play groups because I love to play with all dogs so when new dogs join us they like to introduce me first. How cool is that! I sit for treats, take them gently and love to play fetch. I'll bring the ball right back and drop it at your feet for another throw. When I get pooped, I like to lay down froggy style, and if someone is around I roll over on my back and hope to get a belly rub. The humans usually laugh at me but I always get my belly rubbed! (I've got them well trained, don't I?). I have a lot of energy so I'm looking for a home where I'll get good exercise every day. I also love to kiss and snuggle so you get the best of everything with me. Come meet me today, because as much as I'm well taken care of here, I know that nothing beats a real forever home. I can't wait to meet you!
A volunteer writes: We're going to presume Miss Vanna was named after Vanna White, long time hostess of Wheel of Fortune. And, we're going to presume that someone will spin that lucky spin and make Vanna theirs!! Miss Vanna alternates between great leash manners and then a minute of pulling -- anxious to get from Point A to Point B, I suppose. Posing for pictures both in the park and in the backyard, she makes soft eye contact, and sweeps her reward treats gently from my fingers. Meeting other dogs in the park with friendly disinterest, in group she allowed interactions but was slightly uncomfortable, which may be because she's recently been a mom. She's low key and calm and is gently affectionate, joining me on the bench for a kiss, or two, or three! Petite, pretty and rocking her behavior assessment, Vanna is hoping to find a new person or family to love, and she's hoping someone will spin that lucky wheel today. Will it be you?
