"At home, I often wonder what we're going to do for an hour each week, but when I get here, it really is the highlight of my week." - Tim M., Restaurant owner

"Wow, you're a really great teacher!" - Steve K., University Professor

"You're the best guitar teacher I've ever had [she has had five]. You're very methodical and precise. The other ones would just teach me to play songs and it would be fun, but I never reached my goals. You're teaching me the fundamentals, which is what I've always wanted to learn." - Catherine L.

"Wow, I didn't realize I was going to learn chords this fast [at the first lesson]!-Andrea S.

"I love that you're teaching them how to read music!" - Molly T.

Since 2002, I have taught over 150+ private guitar students in RI and another 100+ in both classroom and a group lesson setting. I have been playing for almost 25 years and teaching for over 12. Previously of Chris B's and Main Street Music, I have been teaching on my own since I graduated URI in 2005. All styles and all ages are welcome for lessons.

I can help you become a better guitarist and musician, guaranteed. On my website (scottfusco.com), I currently have over 20 videos of my live performances in music ranging from rock, blues, jazz/fusion, pop, folk and classical guitar. Take lessons with someone that you know has the skills that you are looking to acquire. I play and teach all styles of music but my specialty is rock, blues and jazz/fusion improvisation. I also play a lot of classical music, particularly from the Renaissance repertory.

For parents: Over 50% of my students are children between the ages of six and fourteen. I have an established curriculum to help them learn to read music, strum chords, play some of their favorite songs, and build confidence in a fun and supportive environment. I take the responsibility of instructing and being a role model to young children very seriously. Parents are free to sit with their child throughout the whole lesson or to sit in the connected waiting room. The door connecting the lesson room and waiting room is open at all times so you can see and hear what is happening in the lesson. References available.
