Meet Dax! He is a handsome shepherd mix, approximately 1.5 years old, professionally trained and looking for a forever home. He will need a committed adopter who wants to learn his training methods and give Dax a structured home and good routine. In return, Dax will be the most loyal, loving, awesome pup possible.

After being abandoned at a police station in NYC in January, Dax was then brought to a kill shelter.
Luckily this handsome boy had a lot of shelter volunteers advocating for him and he was saved by a rescue who wanted to ensure Dax had the best future possible.

Due to his traumatic past Dax showed a lot of nervousness towards new people and new situations. So to ensure he had the best chances of being a healthy guy, he's been enrolled in professional training in Westchester, NY where he has learned some amazing skills! And the even better news is that anyone that adopts Dax gets free training and follow up sessions with his instructors. Check out one of his training videos!

He is good with other dogs, but should not go to a home with cats or with kids under 12. Dax is also crate trained, house trained, neutered and up to date on all his vaccines.
