Public Radio Show Assistant (santa rosa)

The Queer Life radio show on KBBF 89.1 FM in Santa Rosa is looking for assistants interested in getting real experience behind the scenes working on a radio show with a public radio station. Assisting with The Queer Life radio show on KBBF has a rich history, giving real-world, hands-on responsibilities. Working alongside radio show host Kaiya Kramer, assistants do meaningful work for The Queer Life which serves the entire San Francisco Bay Area.

Volunteering:
KBBF is a non-profit 401c3 organization and all positions are voluntary (NOT FOR PAY). Assistants are expected to work 10 hours a week and arrive at KBBF Friday nights 6-8pm to assist with show operations.

Assistant Opportunities:
Assistants on The Queer Life radio show play a vital role in KBBF and the daily operations.

Who We Want:
We are looking for students and recent graduates who are smart and creative, good researchers, and excellent writers. Assistants need to both work well on diverse teams and thrive with individual assignments. Candidates don't need to know everything about KBBF or public radio, but it helps to be at least familiar.
