If somebody took them, it is probably because you left them to die with nobody to take care of them while you were gone and it would have happened if you had not recovered. Nobody in their right mind would give them back. Everybody who has a pet should be making arrangements for their pets in case of emergencies ahead of time. A neighbor, a friend, a family member ... nobody is completely alone in the world. If I had a sudden heart attack and died, I would expect that somebody, who I have made arrangements with in advance if I CARE about my pets, would step in and help them. This IS the same as leaving them to die. Move on and stop posting this.
