I see ads up that say " bassplayer wanted. Must play stand up".
I would just like to ask why. Do these people even know tonaly what the difference between a stand up and bass guitar are.
First off the stand up is a slow un responsive cumbersome instrument.
In all but a few genres it has no place. There is a reason the bass guitar was invented. A reason the bass guitar took over in all but a few places. The bass guitar is a better instrument.
So I say to these ads unless you play bluegrass or rockabilly or something else that a stand up bass make sense in forget it.
You don't see bassist posting ads that say bandmates wanted must churn your own butter and raise your own.
