RE for all the people who post animals on CL by rescue idiot (NH) hide this posting unhide

QR Code Link to This Post Despite the fact rescues wish all your money would go to them, and that no one would ever find a home for their pet by themselves, those of us who have adopted pets from CL posts are thankful there are owners who care enough to make sure their pet goes to a good home and not some cage somewhere to be sold for the highest price possible.
Penny - dog age 3 originally bought from a rescue that never treated her skin problems and sold on CL by someone who couldn't cope with her health issues and now has cleared up all her mange and skin worms (from down south) after suffering with them for years and is living happily ever after even if she does have to wear a collar and walk in the woods on a leash
Ginger - who's owner had to go into a shelter that wouldn't take pets (shame on them) and has learned walks are great fun
Cal - whose owners new baby was allergic to cats who now sleeps happily in any of his cat trees with his friend Lily or in any of the dog beds he wants LOL even more shocking he was a much appreciated gift who helped fill the hole the loss of the 20 year old siamese left
Plenty of great pet owners out there as long as you screen to make sure they are - all of the above pets had former owners with no problem about checking with our vet to make sure the home would be a good one...
Sure there are horror stories - did you hear the one about the rescue shut down for selling sick animals? or the one keeping animals in a dark basement in tiny cages until sold? Rescue idiots never mention any of that. So if you do need to use a rescue to rehome your pet check them out as carefully as you would a new!
