I found Rosie abandoned and injured living in a feral colony by the Guadalupe River. She showed up about two weeks before I rescued her and had been bitten on her foot and couldn't walk on it. So I took her to the vet where her foot was treated and she was spayed. She's about five years old (the dates on the pictures are incorrect), and still very playful. Rosie has a funny personality and loves to play with her toys, be pet, and hang out with someone. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep her myself and need to find her either a permanent or foster home. Rosie lays down with her back to me when she wants to be petted and you can pet her for hours in this position. She is so happy and purrs while making bread in the air; she is really a sweet, affectionate cat. Rosie, however, would probably do better in a house without other cats, and without young children. She can be defensive with other cats, maybe from her foot being bitten. She would be great for a single person or couple who want a companion and entertainment, and with someone who is a little cat savey and patient while she gets to know you and her new home. Rosie has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and tested negative for FIV/FelV. Like what happens to many people, Rosie has just had some bad luck and needs someone to give her a second chance where she will be treated with the love and kindness every animal deserves.
