I have a 2008 RV with Carrier brand roof mounted AC's. Carrier no longer makes the units or provides parts for them. My unit has not been used that much and now is not reliable. Sometimes it works fine. Most of the time it doesn't start. When it doesn't start it flashes seven times. I looked in the manual and the flashing means compressor or sensor malfunction. I don't think it's the compressor (since sometimes it works fine) but I think it is just a relay or sensor. I don't want to replace the entire unit if it is just a simple adjustment. I'm seeking a RV air conditioning tech that can diagnose my problem and hopefully effect repairs. The local dealers have been useless and just want to replace the entire unit.
