Hi! I am Sara. I am now a 2 year old beautiful calico girl kitty. I have been with my foster family for a while. I was dumped on the street as a fairly young kitty and was rescued by a very nice girl. She thought I was feral because all I did was growl, hiss, and claw at her. I was very scared and did not know what else to do. As a result, she gave me to my now 2Paws Up foster family because she did not know what to do with me. Neither did they at first. They let me have a corner to hide in, fed me, and let me act out. Fortunately for everyone, I very soon went into my very first heat. My fear was suppressed and all I wanted to rub up on anything and anybody. I gradually found out that they would not hurt me and that they liked me and I liked them. They were able then to take me to the 2PawsUp Veterinarian to be spayed, micro chipped, and checked and vaccinated for all the normal kitty conditions. Since then I have come to like people very much, although large numbers of people and loud noises still make m nervous. I have also found living with my foster family that I like dogs now but not other cats. I would very probably be happier as an only cat. Other things that I like are, petting, sleeping in different places, playing with toys, and looking adorable. My foster mom thinks that my orange facial markings make me look like the chimpanzee girl in that ape movie. I don't care. I am beautiful. I will come and sit in your lap and purr, but I can still be a little independent. So if you are looking for a beautiful, sweet, loving, yet a little independent only cat, we could maybe, as they say, hit it off! We won't know if we don't try!
