Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance procedure; aids visitors with a legit need to gain entry to the facility; screens visitors and client employees in an efficient manner in order to expedite their admittance to the site or facility.
Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unauthorized or unlawful entry
Conduct regular patrols and inspections
Prepares logs or reports as needed for site
Observes and reports incidents or suspicious task to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site
Offer a courteous, respectful and pleasant service to client workers and visitors
The Ideal Candidate:
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
Pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
Type and Length of Specific Experience Needed
If previously employed, meaningful and verifiable work history
Skills Needed
Should be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state/city licensing requirements for Security Officers and Fireguards
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Clean cut, corporate appearance required.
Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
Polite telephone manner.
Ability to write regular correspondence, including logs and reports.
Good business skills.
Physical Requirements and Environment
Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to severe cold and heat
Major task: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing
Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
