Sasha is a stunning petite calico girl, ten to 12 months old. You can see her video here:

Hers is as moving a case anyone will ever likely encounter. Someone let this little girl down, big time. She was found as a stray, starving for food, and even more for affection. Had it not been for rescue intervention, she would have met her death, her innocent life tragically snuffed out too soon without anyone having appreciated her loving nature, as is the case with far too many other innocent lives. Fortunately, we intervened and took her into our care, still too thin, but alive,. She was placed in foster care but spent most of her time hiding hiding from the other cats in the household. Her foster eventually won her trust, but she still fears other cats, so she must stay separated from the other felines in the house.

She still has not gained all the weight she should, but is gradually making progress. What usually happens when thin cat is given a bowl of food is that the cat eats, but Sasha craves the feel of gentle fingers even more than the feel of food in her belly. Although she is essentially an older kitten, she shows no inclination to play. She only wants rub against the hand that strokes her. She even comes when I snap my fingers. In fact, she fears attempts to engage her in play, which strongly suggests she has experienced the touch of a harsh hand rather than a kind one.

Sasha has been spayed, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, and combo-tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Her adopter will receive her medical records.

As with all rescue groups, there is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help other cats in need.

Cats typically live from 12 to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to Sasha and provide her a safe, loving home for the rest of her life, then respond to this ad via email. Please tell us a little about yourself and the home you would provide for Sasha. While asking about her adoption fee is a legitimate inquiry, it should not be the sole substance of your message.
