"My heart, body, and mind tells me this," (Clark, 2011). That was a quote of my own words when I was 18 years old living in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am now 22 years old with a BAS in Communications with an emphasis in Electronic Media. This includes entertainment. Before graduation, I was a cast member of University of Indianapolis's television station, TV5. Three shows were produced per semester. I also learned how to film and edit through Avid, Adobe After Effects, and just about any other software I got my hands on. Two month ago, As I walked across the stage I told myself, "Khiry, this is yours, no one can take what I have planned for you." I knew in my heart, the voice was from God. I saved money within a month and since June 30th, have been living in North Hollywood. I am now going through the transition of discovering my path of becoming a professional actor. As you are reading this, you may think to yourself, "Yeah sure, just like so many others who want this," believe me I've heard it all. This is something far more different. If I cant get my foot in the door until I'm 40, then so be it. It's as though our universe speaks through my actions. My visions become clearer as I continue to stay hungry of my profession. On June 16th, I will have my first photo-shoot for headshots. This includes 2 different looks. My next objective, is to find an agent. I have a full understanding that this wont come easy. There will be some high moments as well as some lows. As I continue to progress, I prepare myself both mentally and physically for the moment I officially call myself, a professional actor. People honestly think my motives are out of this world but with how tainted the world is, I assure you that my motives limitless. I am searching for a agent in the LA/North Hollywood area that will take me under his or her wing and guide me through this journey. I don't want to come off as intimidating, as I am still grasping more knowledge of how to get my foot in the industry. I just want to make sure this is professional. Compensation is negotiable; as I am requested the agent should receive 35% of my earnings. The agent's job is to direct me to knew leads who will help not only myself but also, him or her. I am ready to go through whatever protocol, hoops, hurdles, and measures in order to become a professional actor.
