My band, Hollow Down, is going on tour 4/10 - 5/1 from New Orleans through the southern states and ending up in northern California. We're looking for someone who plays fiddle, violin, mandolin, guitar or any assortment of stringed instrument(s), to come along and play with us. We'll have three other members on Upright Bass, Drums/Percussion, and Guitars/Banjo. We would love a fourth to add more melody and/or freaked out shit to the sound. We'll be playing a mix of bars, clubs, houseshows, and busking while we promote our first album out on Had Matter Records. I'm the only member in New Orleans (I live near the St. Roch Tavern) until just before the tour starts, but I can show you the songs we have, write new songs with you, practice and even play on the streets or at some gigs beforehand. I play banjo, guitar, and I sing. You can check out our music and find the tour itinerary (a few dates left to book still) under "events" at https://www.facebook.com/HollowDown. We'll probably end up playing arrangements of the songs that are a bit different, so you'll be able to have as equal an input as everyone else. We have places to stay for most of the tour and plenty of merch to hustle (shirts, cds) and a van with a trailer, plus other tour experience with different bands so we know how to do this proper. You'll get %25 of whatever money we make after gas is paid for (on the daily), which should be decent enough to at least feed and drink yourself. For example, our Taos, NM gig is $150, free food, and discount drinks. We're gonna bust ass on busking every day even if we have a show, so I think this should be solid. Alright, enough said. Go check us out if you're still.
