Kitty Charm School (Cat Boarding Hotel & Rescue too) is seeking one more person for our team. If you love animals and you would like some well paid work, please give us a look. We would love nothing more than to be able to help fund a rescue person's life/great work, by giving them employment on the side. The current job is part time, it can be 20-30 hours a week as you wish. Details below!

The bulk of the work we is caring for cats in our facility (Boarding), but we can also offer hours caring for cats in their own homes if you wish (Sitting - you drop by to care for them, you do not sleep there).

Due to the Sitting aspect, we are hoping for someone who both lives locally, and has a car. If you are absolutely unable to do sitting, please still apply - but make that known. Our best case scenario is someone local who is excited to accept any work we can offer.

The job includes cat care (feeding, medication, litter and cleaning). You must be experienced with cats of all kinds, including gentle restraint of difficult cats & the administration of medications. Must be quick on your feet, while also being quiet, calm and organized. You must have a flexible schedule (shift length depends on number of cats in the house) and must be willing to work some weekends. This is a very physical job and it involves a lot of ladder climbing, carrying, and cleaning up after cats.

Salary: If you are vet assistant or vet tech and are quick on your feet, you will find our salary to be quite competitive. KCS usually exceeds the going pay rate at local vet hospitals and we definitely exceed the pay rate of all boarding facilities, including those in the city. If you are less experienced but a quick learner, pay will be based on experience and speed, with generous salary increases as you become more experienced & valuable to our facility.

* If you are headed in the direction of becoming a vet - this is a great place to get the experience that vets clinics will require of new hires. Most of our staff are mid-way through vet school and/or tech certification.
