Solar Crew, jobs through the end of the year (Chatham and Surrounding counties)
We are a small solar company who is growing fast, and we need help finishing out the jobs we have planned for this year. These are project based positions that may parlay into full time work next year as we continue to grow.
The folks we're looking for to join our team will have some qualifications that we see in our successful crew members. If you have solar experience, you move right to the top to our list and our pay scale. A general familiarity with tools is necessary, and we work on roofs. We tie off of course, but you should not be afraid of heights. Former roofers are also a terrific addition to our team. Prior military experience is great, too.
You MUST be able to show up on time and not call us the morning you are supposed to be working and beg off. Our clients depend on us, and we depend on you. You MUST know how to wear a belt if you need one. You can't be on a roof with your pants falling down, and we are not interested in seeing any of your underwear. You have to have a car. Not your best friend's car or a cab ride or the car you share with a pool of girlfriends or boyfriends that at the last minute runs out of gas or gets left at the club. Which reminds me - please have enough gas in your car to get to work. (I know these requirements seem strange. They are based on real life, past experience.)
In short, we are building crews and we need key people to help us do that. We need people who may be excited about solar and want to learn - or who know about solar and want a chance to be the crew foreman. It is a growth opportunity, which means we work together through bumps and difficulty as we grow the business into full time positions for everyone. Even if you need some kind of work and are skilled and will show up when you're scheduled and be polite, that's ok, too - if you need to move on at some point so be it.
We pay $12 an hour to start, are fully insured, and provide all tools and fall gear. We can put you on a roof as soon as tomorrow if you like, but have jobs starting throughout the.
