The Mike Curtis Jazz Project has an opening for a tenor sax player that wants to play advanced big band jazz. We are not a swing band per se, we concentrate on music the likes of Buddy Rich, Don Ellis, Frank Zappa, Stan Kenton, Gordon Goodwin, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Miles, Diz, Thad Jones, and a lot more. If you like this music and would like to sit in let me know! The ability to improvise, read charts, and play in a section will be a strong plus..:)
