The Sisters Sweet seeking drummer to tour (Fayetteville)

The Sisters Sweet is strongly considering hiring a drummer. Consider this an ad for auditions. Are you an experienced drummer/percussionist who love the gypsy life? Camping? Travel? Playing music for your dinner? We just might be right for each other wink emoticon

We've got some very specific qualifications that we're looking for. If you're a drummer looking to join the band, please consider the following:

Our ideal drummer has a jazz background, with percussion experience in addition to kit. He/she knows how to lay back, blend, and let the vocals shine as the main attraction to the band. He/she knows how to add energy with steady beats that make sense to the song, without being too busy or showy. Knows how to take directions/suggestions on drumming style from other members of the band. Is motivated and loves to practice and see's it as a chance to become more awesome.

While we believe that the best drummers are seasoned with a lifetime of drumming experience, we are looking for someone who will gel with the band. We are looking for someone who is within the 21-45 age range. We're looking for someone that can join our "family" and will be of a similar energy level and will enjoy traveling with us and engaging in extracurricular activities wink emoticon

We also suggest to potential drummers that they listen to the lyrics of our music before auditions, and are sure that they share a similar mindset, and can become excited about our positive, one-love vibes, and socially conscious ideas. http://candyleemusic.bandcamp.com

Our ideal drummer loves to be on the open road, knows how to "rough it," loves camping, and knows how to live on a budget wink emoticon We'll be on the road MOST of the time, coming back to the NWA area for a week or so at a time, every month or few months. If you have kids, or other obligations that require that you be close to home, this isn't the gig for you. The Sisters Sweet will also need to be the only band that you're a member of. Juggling between bands has proven difficult for members in our band in the past. It is a commitment and a full-time job.

We are just now starting the touring process as a band, so we'll be making enough money to keep going, but not enough to pay the band members' rent, car payments, etc. We'll be traveling via RV, but only have enough room inside to sleep 4. So, we'll be rotating between RV and tent camping. Also know that driving will be pretty tight as the vehicle we have just fits 5, and you would be the 5th. You'd be squeezed between 2 other people on the regular. (Extra points if you have a van. Ha!) We are living the nomad, somewhat "hippy" life and putting in the work towards a successful musical career smile
