The afterschool program of the Wise Owl Big and Little Mentoring Program. We have a lineup of tested and proven nationally recognized programs that address today's most pressing youth issues, teaching young people the skills they need to succeed in life.
More than 25 national programs are available in the areas of education, the environment, health, the arts, careers, alcohol/drug and pregnancy prevention, gang prevention, leadership development and athletics. We provide programs for youth after school and during the summer months that are designed to meet identified needs and interests of the participants.
Our challenge is to teach our members things they need to know using things that they like to do. Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Offered when school is in session from the end of the school day until 6:00 PM. Participants do their homework, receive a healthy snack, and have time to socialize before choosing between a variety of fun and purposeful age appropriate award winning, proven programs in sports/recreation, the arts, technology/education, or character/leadership development.
Weekly participants pay for a slot in the program regardless of attendance. It makes financial sense to sign up for weekly if you are going to use the program three or more times a week on a regular basis.
