Tiger is a neutered 6-7 y/o male cat. He came from Coatesville, PA where he was a barn/feral cat for a few years until he was domesticated back in 2014.
I domesticated him because he was not the best at being an outside kitty, since he always appeared to bleeding or limping whenever he came around my barn.
Since than, he's completely enjoying his chunky butt as an inside kitty. LOVE LOVE LOVES scratching and rubs.
Has been living in a household with 5 other cats and two medium sized dogs. He tolerates them all, but I think prefers a much less animal-populated home.
Would be perfect to find him a Senior home, or low-key environment type of home.
*Medical*
He does have Stomatitis.
Stomatitis is a general term that refers to inflammation of the oral cavity! Gingivostomatitis is a term also used to describe this condition.
In December 2016 he had surgery and had teeth removed to relieve pain and most of the cause of his stomatitis.
Since than, and switching his food to a grain-free diet- he has had NO issues. It is manageable, and I believe the food he is on, is key, to keeping his mouth happy (surprisingly)
I would give all medical paperwork over as well.
My Story:
I am a 27 y/o student who has loved and cared for Tiger since I domesticated him. I actually rescue/rehab/adopt cats and kittens normally out of pocket to pay my good deed to my community, and have successfully rehomed well over 30 cats/kittens on my own.
I originally planned on rehoming him but I eventually found out about his stomatitis and kept him, to pay for his medical needs at the time.
I moved into a rental home with the goal to purchase last year with my fiance, however, at this time my fiance and I have split with no intention of mending our relationship and I am unable to remain in the home to purchase and have to move in with a fellow worker, which, I can not bring him with me.
If not a perfect new home, I'm looking for a committed long-term foster (for a year)
Until I can get into my own home late next year.
If you can open your heart and home to my loving Tiger, I would forever be grateful.
I do intend on asking many questions to ensure the quality of home that would be interested.
He really is a gem, and I hope someone can look past his current medical condition and consider taking him in so he can have a happy life.
