Very sweet White Himalayan Cat 10 years old (Oahu)
Aloha,
My name is Fancy. I am an old Himalayan cat. I don't know how old, but my vet says that I am probably over 10 years old. I am very friendly and I love to be near someone all the time, and usually curled-up in your lap. I am an inside-only cat, and will not do well outside of the house on my own. I absolutely love to be brushed, but my daddy spends a lot of time away from the house so I don't get brushed as often as I would like to be. Daddy loves me very much but he thinks that I would do better in another home that doesn't have other animals because I am getting older and my brothers like to pick on me sometimes.
My daddy hates to part with me, but he knows it is best because he will be moving to the mainland in December, and I am a Hawaii gal, and an airplane ride and adjusting to a new colder climate would probably not be very comfortable for a lady my age. We hope to find me a perfect new home before that. Just so you know what to expect, I have a habit of kneading all the time, even though daddy has tried to teach me not to, so my new owner will need to keep my nails trimmed to make sure that I don't poke holes in their sheets and blankets. I do not climb or scratch things though, and I am very mellow and house-broken. I spend most of my days lying around and sleeping, and I can't wait to find a new home where I can get more uninterrupted sleep and be brushed more frequently.
I was neutered as a kitten, so I cannot have any kittens of my own. Some of my teeth in the front of my mouth are getting bad, and although I prefer hard food, I sometimes find it easier to eat soft food. My Vet has looked at my teeth and says that they are typical for a cat my age. When I am feeling very comfortable, I like to cuddle up to you and knead your clothes or your hair and I get so carried away that sometimes I start to drool! I also have allergies that often make my eyes crusty, so I hope my new owner will take the time to help me keep my eyes clean.
I have all of my current vaccinations, shots, and am treated every month with preventative medicine for fleas, ticks and heartworms. I come with a litter box, a brush and a little bit of the cat food that I have always eaten. My Dad has always taken excellent care of me and has spent tons of money on me to ensure that I am always in the best of health. This is why he hopes to get a small rehoming fee from my new owners equal to the cost of my most recent vet visit.
