VIDEOGRAPHER

Project Wildness is looking for an easy-to-travel-with videographer who can accompany us on our next pay it forward roadtrip leaving around July 19 across the Western US. Your primary responsibility would be filming and taking some photographs of the journey. Our hope is to make a feature-length documentary out of the footage in the end. All travel expenses will be covered, and you would only be responsible for buying your own food and drinks along the way! This is the perfect opportunity for a college student, young professional, or just an overall fun person to gain some excellent experience and portfolio material, travel the country, meet some incredible folks, and of course hang out with two fun people!

Project Wildness is a recently started organization that mixes roadtripping across the US with doing random acts of kindness along the way! In May 2015, two longtime friends, Nate and Shane, decided to materialize their longtime dream of setting out on the roadtrip of a lifetime. Before leaving, each decided they wanted to take $500 of their own money to give away indiscriminately to strangers they met as they traveled. In the hopes of making an even bigger impact, they reached out to family, friends, and strangers with a crowd funding campaign trying to match the initial seed money. The response was overwhelming and they raised far more than expected with 100% of all donations being given away throughout the trip!

For those 25 days, Nate and Shane drove across the American West covering 13 states and over 7,400 miles. All the while they met incredible people, listened to their stories, and made people's days when they could. For example, while spending an afternoon in San Francisco's Dolores Park, they bought out an ice cream cart and invited families with children to free ice cream treats! They met with the homeless, single mothers, veterans, children, and many more as they worked to pay it forward. They camped in National and State Forests, stayed with friends, and landed in the occasional hotel during their first trip. Now begins the second trip! That's where you come in!

Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older -- Local breweries happen.
- Ability to live on the road for approximately one month beginning around July 19.
- Desire to travel and do good in the process.
- Happy camper -- meaning a few days at a time of feeling a little grimey. Deodorant is much appreciated, though.

Bonus Points (but NOT necessary to apply):
- Previous experience as a videographer -- your own camera equipment is a plus, but NOT necessary to apply.
- Previous travel and camping experience -- your own camping gear is a plus, but NOT necessary to apply.
- Ability to differentiate the words "wildness" and "wilderness" -- if not, this can be taught!

If you do not have your own camping gear or camera equipment but think you would be a fun and competent person for the job, don't hesitate to contact us! This can be worked out. We're more interested in finding someone who will be fun to travel with and competent than the best videographer ever!

Compensation:
- Pay could possibly be provided depending on experience and ability to provide your own camera equipment.
- Experience of a lifetime!

If you've read this far and think you would enjoy traveling with Project Wildness as a videographer, email us with:
- Your name, age, and contact information
- A little bit of your own story
- A description of why you would be an asset to Project Wildness
- Any previous experience that would help from the travel or film side

We look forward to traveling with you! Please search for us on the web for more information and some of the stories about what we've been up.
