Volunteer Ombudsman Needed (Kansas City)

We are looking for volunteers who exhibit compassion, respect for the elders, and good listening skills. Volunteers must successfully complete thirty hours of training which includes: 18 hours of class room work, 2 on-site visits supervised by the Regional Ombudsman, and a mini internship. A background check is also required. Volunteer LTC Ombudsmen commit to visiting an assigned nursing facility a minimum of two hours per week, attend monthly meetings and submit monthly activity reports to the regional.
