Watch Out For The Mars Reel Company (Rochester)

Fellow videographers I rarely answer any Cl ad for shooters because most are very unprofessional and want you to shoot events for very low prices. Most of you shooters for whatever reason will answer theses ads and never share the horrible experiences that you receive when dealing with these types of so called producers. Well if you answer an ad from The Mars Reel Company out of VA I would not shoot for this young man. He has a site where he gets people around the country to shoot games for him and upload your raw footage to his site. He claims to pay 250.00 per shoot but does not actually pay. I shot an OU game for him Sat Oct. 31 in HD 720X60. total of 10GB of HD footage. I uploaded to his site as promised. He decided that he did not like my footage said it was unusable. I watched the footage that is on his site and since I have been shooting sports news and other events for the past 20 years I figured this would be a cake walk. He (Bradley Deyo) basically shots about 10 to 15 games of the same player so he has multiple takes and some of his footage comes from schools that use multiple camera angles versus you shooting with one single camera and angle. After he told me that my footage was unusable I decided to send him a stern email in return. He sent me 100.00 of the 250.00 (which is what he really wanted to spend in the first place.)

Just a heads up fellow shooters get your money upfront from these people like The Mars Reel Company and Bradley Deyo out of McLean VA you have been.
