We need piano or keyboard player for mid

Maybe you play piano but don't own an electric keyboard; we've got one you can play. We just wanna find someone who digs the music, can be committed to rehearsing twice a week with the goal of playing shows and touring, and can play challenging tunes.

The music is catchy and high energy, heavily taking from the 60s and 70s. Right now we're bass, drums, guitar/keys, and two singers (boy/girl) who harmonize. We can send you samples.

Though we're open to ideas, our 'right' person probably collects old LPs, might buy clothes at Goodwill, could read more than most folks, should know a fair amount of theory (how to play major 7, diminished, & flat 5, not too tricky), assumably has played music in a group before, presumably has had a bit of classical or jazz training, and definitely is open-minded to new ways to manipulate old sounds (keyboards tastefully run through occasional delays, fuzzes, and wah pedals, etc...).

Not looking for super-duper veterans, we're glad you're still playing, but this project needs folks who project youth, vigor, and style on stage. Everyone in the band has touring experience with previous projects. We're already playing shows and looking to start traveling to play more.

What do we listen to? Well, tastes vary, but relevant sounds are things like Krautrock, Tropicalia, 70s Soul, 60s psych pop, Glam, Todd Rundgren, Free Design, Os Mutantes, Milk n Cookies, Shuggie Otis, Slapp Happy, Beach Boys, Curt Boettcher, Curtis Mayfield, and stacks of dusty 45s. You know how people always list their 60s and 70s influences, and then just sound like every other indie rock band? That's not us, we steal moves for keeps.

Send us a message with sound samples or links if you're interested and we'll give a listen and respond with our.
