Mobile DJ Company Seeks Wedding Planning & Production Assistant...
Looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to assist in planning wedding events, wedding vendor collaboration, marketing strategies, and on-site wedding coordination. Duties will also include maintaining, operating, setting up, and tearing down for mobile DJ service. Must be willing to work weekends and attend rehearsal training (paid), and at times, travel. Hourly wage does not include travel time unless you are driving; however, all travel expenses are paid (meals, lodging, etc...). Must have clean driving record and current & valid state-issued driver's license. Must be willing to commit to gigs dates with 3 weeks notice (minimum). Prior experience setting up and tearing down DJ equipment a plus but not mandatory.
All events are wedding celebrations (ceremonies and receptions), and most events take place on Saturdays (with occasional Friday). Primary duties is to assist DJ with running a show, but duties also includes load-in and tearing down equipment. This is a contractor's status position. Must be willing to provide information for background check and fill out W-9 required. Compensation is as follows:
$12 hr rehearsal
$15 hr planning
$150 flat fee for shows 1-10 (including rehearsals)
$200 flat fee for shows 11-15
Compensation negotiable thereafter
Must be willing to attend social networking and industry trade events on own time.
