I have the best job in the world. I get to hang out all day with great dogs, your dogs. Play with them, pet them, take them with me everywhere, talk to them, watch them play, video them. This is what I am called to do in this life and I couldn't be happier. I love that I'm able to spend time with other people's dogs, making sure each one has a wonderful, fun filled day. The dogs who come here run to the front door, are so happy to be here, and it's so fulfilling for me as well. This isn't just a 'job', it's my life. That said...

GENERAL INFO:

It's $25/day for full time dogs who come weekdays between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm (I'm flexible on the hours). The charge for a second dog is $20/day. You can purchase a number of days, starting at 10, which is the $25/day package. If you purchase over 20 days the daily amount begins to drop. I except all credit cards and PayPal for your convenience. You can also pay with cash or check.

If your dog is on a special diet, no problem. I will hold to that diet strictly, no treats.
If your dog needs meds of any kind, I can make sure they get those on time, without fail.
If your dog is older, or has any issues that need special attention or help, I'm happy to work with your dog and help them have a good experience here at my daycare. Sometimes that may just mean a nice soft bed in the sun, and easy access to the outside without a lot of stairs. My house is all on one level and no stairs to go inside or out.

I also have a great deal of experience working with dogs with behavior issues so we can talk about that as well.

I don't charge anything extra for feeding your dog, giving medications, or working with anyone with minor behavior issues.

WHAT WE OFFER:

At Welcome to My Yard - Dog Day Care your dog will be spending the day in a home environment with a well known and successful dog trainer, going out on daily field trips, hiking, to the lake, racing after the ball a thousand times, and getting all that energy, both mental and physical, released. I can give your dog all of that attention while you're at work so when you come home, he/she is quieter mentally, easier to be around, easier to take on an evening walk, and just more relaxed all around. Most dogs fit right in here and start having a great time on day one.

This is a home so even dogs who are very shy, full of anxiety, and may have trouble in a larger facility dog daycare, do very well here with me.

In the summers the doors to the front and backyard areas are open the entire day. When I'm not doing chores I play ball and 'stick' with everyone in the yard almost every day, except on extremely cold days.

I have several dogs here who were having problems in a couple of well known dog daycare facilities, both really good day care places but some dogs just don't take to larger social environments. Now, at my place, which is smaller and less 'facility like' they are doing just great, come right in, don't have to be carried into the daycare anymore, because they are more relaxed and at ease here.

This is a smaller group of dogs, with cats as well, in my home and my yard, so I will never have huge groups of dogs here, but that's the way I like it, and so do the dogs who come here.

I frequently take videos or photos and text them to my clients, and post them on facebook: Welcome to My Yard - Dog Day Care. It's just nice on a break at work to take a look and see that your baby is having a great day.

PLEASE NOTE: I have cats, bullet proof cats, who get along with all kinds of dogs, young and old, and don't run or get aggressive with dogs. I even have one kitty who prefers the company of dogs and grooms any dog who will allow it. So if your dog is basically just cat-curious, no problem. HOWEVER, if your dog is seriously cat aggressive, I just can't bring him/her to this daycare. It is a home here, and we will work with almost anyone, make their days fun and safe and happy, but unfortunately I just can't risk my kitties with a dog who really doesn't like cats at all. I'm.
