Would you want an awesome, silly, bearded dude in his 20's living with you for the summer, or maybe longer? One that can cook, teach you how to start a fire by rubbing sticks together, and have a glass of whiskey or scotch with at the end of the week? Of course you would!! I'm looking for a place to stay from June 1st until at least August 31st, longer if it feels like a good fit. My price range is 400-550. I work 40+ hours a week teaching kids the ways of the woods, so someplace that is craft-friendly (think carving and leather working) would be ideal, but not required. I absolutely adore medium and large dogs, and if you have a younger dog I would be happy to help out with training them. Most days when I get home I chat briefly with my roommates before either working on projects or going into hermit mode for a while. Being surrounded by children every day can be draining, and alone time is nice. On the other hand, I also like making dinners together once a week or so, and if you ever need someone to vent to, I'm all ears. I also have been known to play music and dance like an idiot from time to time. I like to keep shared spaces fairly clean and clutter free, but I expect my room to be my business, and your room to be your business. I have strong libertarian leanings, am a feminist, and an LGBTQ ally. I don't have guests over all that often and when I do it's pretty low-key

About my preferred space: It doesn't have to be fancy or huge, but I would like to have decent natural lighting, and enough room for a queen sized bed. I'm moving back to Portland for my second season with my job, and since it's somewhat seasonal I don't have a ton of belongings. If you have a guesthouse, a basement that has decent privacy, or even a garage or shed in decent condition, I would consider them, if the price is right.

About my preferred roommate(s): Steadily employed, preferably mid 20's to mid 30's, able to respect one's personal space. Open, direct, and kind when it comes to any kind of issues. I don't like big parties, but having people over is completely fine. I can respect almost all lifestyle habits like dietary choices or religion, so long as you feel the same. I WILL be cooking meat, just a heads up. Also, I do tend to get along better with females than males. If you're a bit geeky and/or outdoorsy we should get along just fine.

If it sounds like I might be a good fit, shoot me an email with plenty of info on you and your place, along with pictures if possible. I would like to set up a skype chat before meeting in.
