QR Code Link to This Post Oli is a 2 year-old/ginger/25 lb./male Carolina dog in need of another loving home.
Requirements:
- at home majority of the day with active lifestyle
- large, fenced in back yard
- must be able to provide and administer medication (one pill in the morning and evening for separation anxiety)
- companion dog (suggested, but not required)
It is with great sadness that we are no longer able to provide proper care for this beautiful creature. We are in search of a more suitable home for him and his individual needs. Oli suffers from separation anxiety (currently medicated) and would benefit greatly from living in a home where he is not alone for longer than 2-6 hours at a time. Crating is not an option for him, as he lost a few teeth over being confined to a small space (due to his separation anxiety). He is not destructive to personal items and is completely potty-trained. He would also greatly benefit from a large, fenced in backyard, as well as a companion dog to keep him company. He gets along great with other dogs (NOT CATS!), as well as older children. A younger child might not be able to handle his abundance of energy. Speaking of energy, Oli has a lot of it! He is as fast as a bullet and bounces around like a kangaroo (hint as to why he is in need of a fenced in space to call his own). He thoroughly enjoys playing fetch, running, hikes, and swimming; just being outside in general. His personality is quite quirky and playful, but he is also certainly known for a stubborn streak every now and then (but that is very typical of his breed). You'll surely find it easy to forgive his stubbornness, due to his undeniable cuteness.
We have had Oli in our care for over a year now, and we have grown to love him deeply. We love him so much that we have come to the harsh realization that our small apartment in the city and busy lifestyle is not the right fit for this little ball of energy.
